For nine years, the Permanent Commission on the Status of Women ran a pre-apprenticeship training program for women who sought a career in the building and construction trades. Our graduates work today as carpenters, electricians, laborers, ironworkers, painters, plumbers, and pointer/cleaner/caulker, sheet metal workers.
