From I-84W
Take the Asylum Street exit 48. Turn right at the light, onto Asylum Street. At the YWCA turn left onto Broad Street and proceed through two stop lights past the Hartford Courant building (on the right) and the State Armory (on the left). At the stop light at Capitol Avenue, take a left. Go to the stop light just before the Bushnell Theater and take a left on to Trinity Street. At the stop light at Elm Street, take a left into the parking lot next to the Capitol building. Park in one of the spaces marked "Visitor." If asked, be sure to tell the Capitol Police that you are visiting the PCSW.
Walk across Trinity Street. The building looks like an old courthouse. Enter on the right side of the building. After you go through the security check, take the elevator to the second floor. You will see directional signs to the PCSW office.
From I-84E
Take the Capitol Avenue exit 48. At the stop light at the end of the exit ramp, take a left on to Capitol Avenue. Take the Capitol Area exit 29A and follow the long exit road to the traffic circle. Go half way around the traffic circle, taking a right on to Elm Street. You will go past Bushnell Park on your right. Go through the stop light at Trinity Street into the parking lot next to the Capitol building. Park in one of the spaces marked "Visitor." If asked, be sure to tell the Capitol Police that you are visiting the PCSW.

From Route 44

Additional Parking Options
There is a chance the visitor section on
Capitol grounds will be full, especially if you are visiting during the
Legislative Session. On-street metered parking is available on Trinity Street
and Elm Street. While not as convenient, parking may also be available in the
Legislative Office Building Parking Garage.
