Kevin Flood
Public Information Officer and Webmaster,
Connecticut Commission on Children

Kevin Flood has been public information officer and webmaster for the Commission since November 2005. From 2001 to 2005 he edited websites for Business & Legal Reports Inc. of Old Saybrook. From 1992 to 2001 he was an associate editor for the Journal Inquirer newspaper of Manchester. Before that, he worked as a reporter for the newspaper, covering Enfield, East Hartford, and the state Capitol.

He grew up in Portland, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Hartford in 1983 with a BA in communication arts. He was chairman of the Members Council of the Wadsworth Atheneum from 1994 to 1999. He currently serves as vice president of the Hartford Preservation Alliance. In May 2003, he received the HPA's Jeffery S. Czopor Award for his website on the history of Hartford, www.HartfordHistory.net. He lives in the city.
