Statement of Purpose: To increase participation in the four major federally funded childhood nutrition programs, as well as establish programs for child nutrition at schools.

Statement of purpose: To reduce costs to municipalities and increase benefits for employees by opening the state employee insurance pool and allow municipal employees to join voluntarily.

House Bill 5926 - Concerning Families with Service Needs...

Statement of Purpose: To(1) make minor revisions to the family with service needs statutes in accordance with the recommendations of the Family with Service Needs Advisory Board, (2) establish pilot programs and provide funding in accordance with the recommendations of said board, (3) permit a parent to request from the Department of Public Health a certificate of birth resulting in stillbirth, (4) establish a community-based pilot program to provide additional reentry and diversionary services for youth, and (5) study the feasibility of establishing a separate drug court for offenders under the age of eighteen.

Statement of Purpose: To increase funding for summer youth employment so that young people across the state may have an opportunity to learn about and become familiar with work, saving and asset building.

Statement of Purpose: To permit the issuance of a temporary ninety-day certificate to applicants in the certification endorsement area of early childhood education.

Statement of Purpose: To require priority school districts receiving early reading success grants to report the percentage of students in grades one to three, inclusive, who are at or above proficiency for their grade level.

Statement of Purpose: To provide persons who qualify for and claim the federal earned income tax credit, a credit against their state liability equal to twenty per cent of their federal credit for the same income year.

Statement of Purpose: To create a master contract between the Departments of Social Services, Education, Public Health, Children and Families and the Children's Trust Fund to improve child outcomes by integrating services for children and families from birth to age five.
