AN ACT PROTECTING PATIENTS FROM INAPPROPRIATE BILLING PRACTICES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That title 38a of the general statutes be amended to require that health carriers many only charge a patient who received health care services from a health care provider at a hospital that is in-network a cost that is level with the in-network level of cost-sharing by all health care providers who provide services at such hospital.
