'AN ACT CONCERNING THE COMPENSATION OF STATE BOARD OF MEDIATION AND ARBITRATION ARBITRATORS', to adjust the compensation rate for State Board of Mediation and Arbitration arbitrators so that they are ultimately compensated at a consistent rate for each day they preside over an arbitration proceeding.

'AN ACT CONCERNING LOW WAGE EMPLOYERS', to require certain employers to pay a quarterly fee to the Labor Commissioner for each employee that receives wages below the standard rate of covered wages predetermined pursuant to section 31-57f of the general statutes.

'AN ACT CONCERNING VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND AMBULANCE COMPANIES AND THE DEFINITION OF EMPLOYER UNDER THE STATE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ACT', to add volunteer fire departments and ambulance companies to the definition of "employer" under the state Occupational Safety and Health Act.

H.B. No. 5071 (RAISED) LABOR AND PUBLIC EMPLOYEES . 'AN ACT CONCERNING CIVIL ACTIONS AGAINST AN EMPLOYER FOR FAILURE TO PAY WAGES OR COMPENSATION OR MAKE PAYMENTS TO AN EMPLOYEE WELFARE FUND', to allow employees or labor organizations to recover twice the full amount of damages associated with an employer's failure to pay wages unless the employer can demonstrate a good faith belief that it was complying with the law and to clarify the time period the administrator may use to calculate damages when any person, firm or corporation has wilfully failed to declare the payment of wages on payroll records.
