AN ACT REQUIRING CERTIFICATION IN CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION PRIOR TO THE ISSUANCE OR RENEWAL OF A MOTOR VEHICLE OPERATOR'S LICENSE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the Commissioner of Motor Vehicles from issuing or renewing a motor vehicle operator's license if an applicant has not received a civilian certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase cardiac arrest save rates by requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation training prior to the issuance of a motor vehicle operator's license.
