AN ACT REQUIRING UNIVERSAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON ALL FIREARM SALES AT GUN SHOWS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 29-36l, 29-37a and 29-37g of the general statutes be amended to require the seller of any firearm at a gun show to take the necessary steps to cause a background check to be performed through the National Instant Criminal Background Check System on any individual attempting to purchase such firearm.
Statement of Purpose:
To close the gun show loophole by requiring universal background checks for all firearm sales at gun shows.
