AN ACT CONCERNING THE PENALTY FOR A CRIME COMMITTED WITH A FIREARM.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to increase the mandatory minimum prison sentence for any person who, in the commission of a crime, uses, threatens to use, displays or purports to have a firearm.

Statement of Purpose:

To increase the mandatory minimum prison sentence for any person who, in the commission of a crime, uses, threatens to use, displays or purports to have a firearm.
