"AN ACT REQUIRING THE DISPLAY OF HOUSE NUMBERS. "

After line 24, add the following:

"(e) The provisions of this section shall not apply in any town that requires by local regulation or ordinance the display of street numbers on residential buildings. "

In line 25, strike "(e)" and insert in lieu thereof "(f)"
