The House of Representatives was called to order at 1: 07 o'clock p. m. , Representative Nafis of the 27th District in the Chair.

Prayer was offered by the guest Chaplain, Jeffrey S. Greenfield of Newington, Connecticut.

The following is the prayer:

Let us pray. Lord, assist us in our efforts to evaluate the merits of the bills that are placed before us. Give us Your wisdom so that we may bring forth just and constructive legislation. Amen.

The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Madelyn M. Robles of Hartford, Connecticut.
