Explanation
The amendment, which eliminates the requirement that employers have to pay certain employees minimum wage after they have worked 200 hours, could result in a savings for both the state and municipalities. The extent to which savings are realized depends on the number and wages of employees being paid below minimum wage, and the length of employment beyond 200 hours.
