Wednesday, September 19, 2012 – ROOM 2E – 1: 00 PM

The Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee and the Transportation Committee will hold
a joint public hearing on the draft State Rail Plan on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at
1: 00 pm in Room 2E of the Legislative Office Building. We will hear from representatives of the DOT first and then open the hearing to other parties wishing to testify. Anyone interested in testifying should come to Room 3700 at least one hour prior to the start of the hearing to sign up to speak. All speakers will be limited to three minutes of testimony and will need to provide 25 copies of their remarks. If not testifying in person, a pdf version of testimony may be submitted for the record by email to finance@cga. ct. gov. Legislative Program Review & Investigations Committee Public Hearing
Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at 11: 00 AM in Room 2D

Sign up for the hearing will begin at 10: 00 A. M. in the Second Floor Atrium. Please submit 25 copies of written testimony to Committee staff at the time of sign-up. Members of the public will testify during the first hour; agency representatives, legislators, and chief elected municipal officials will testify during the second hour; and thereafter speakers will alternate between the public and officials. Speakers will be limited to 3 minute of testimony. Unofficial sign-up sheets have no standing with the Committee. Testimony submitted after the start of the hearing may not be distributed until a later time.

Please Note: Limited parking facilities make it impossible to guarantee parking for members of the public attending meetings and functions at the Capitol and LOB. Parking for the public must be on a space-available basis only.

According to C. G. S. 2-1e At the State Capitol and Legislative Office Building, possession, other than for law enforcement or official ceremonial purposes, of any firearm, whether loaded or unloaded, or billy club, switchblade, gravity knife, bludgeon, brass knuckles or any other dangerous or deadly weapon or instrument, or any explosive, incendiary or other dangerous device, is illegal and punishable by up to five years in prison and $ 5,000.

Per Joint Rule 30(c) No person shall use a cellular telephone or similar device (pager) in the Senate Chamber while the Senate is meeting, in the House Chamber while the House is meeting, or in any room or area while a committee is meeting or holding a public hearing. DEVICES MUST BE DEACTIVATED OR HAVE THE ALERT MODE SET TO SILENT.
