AN ACT ESTABLISHING A TAX CREDIT FOR BUSINESSES THAT PROVIDE COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 208 of the general statutes be amended to provide a tax credit for a business that provides a college scholarship for students from this state who attend public high schools and enroll in a public college in this state.

Statement of Purpose:

To encourage businesses to create scholarships for Connecticut students attending Connecticut public colleges.
