SUBSTITUTE LANGUAGE:

The Appropriations Committee adopted substitute language (LCO No. 2971) that charged the Department of Education, in conjunction with the Department of Social Services and Construction Services, with studying space requirements for universal early childhood education and other related issues. This change was made due to the recognition that availability and suitability of space was a fundamental step to moving towards universal early childhood education. The study is to report January 1, 2013.
