AN ACT ESTABLISHING A REGISTRY OF ANIMAL CRUELTY OFFENDERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a registry for animal cruelty offenders, similar to the sex abuse offender registry.

Statement of Purpose:

To recognize the connection between animal cruelty and the tendency for future violent behavior.
