AN ACT ESTABLISHING AN ON-LINE ANIMAL ABUSER REGISTRY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish an on-line animal abuser registry of individuals convicted of felony animal abuse who reside in the state. Such registry shall be funded by the registration fees paid by persons required to register with such registry.

Statement of Purpose:

To aid animal shelters and others who facilitate animal adoptions in preventing the placement of animals with persons who are known felony animal abusers.
