You asked about the number of defendants with murder cases currently pending, their names and dates of arrest, and how many are charged with capital felony.
According to the Judicial Branch, there were 110 defendants charged with murder in Connecticut with cases pending on May 8, 2009. None of these cases have been resolved and none of the defendants have yet been convicted of the charges. Of the 110 defendants, 16 face capital felony charges.
The table below displays the 16 offenders charged with capital felony and the 94 offenders charged with other murder crimes, arranged from the earliest date of arrest to the most recent. The table shows the type of murder charge for each defendant, with some defendants facing more than one type of murder charge. But we do not include information on the number of murder charges or other criminal charges a defendant faces.
