AN ACT CONCERNING REFORM OF THE PROBATE COURT SYSTEM.
AMENDMENT
LCO No.: 8485
File Copy No.: 729
House Calendar No.: 474
Senate Calendar No.: 672
OFA Fiscal Note
Explanation
The amendment allows a member of the state employees retirement system or municipal employees' retirement system who ceases to be an employee of the probate court as a result of probate court mergers to receive, through payroll deduction, up to four years of retirement credit. The extent to which this option would be utilized is unclear and as such the net fiscal impact to state and municipal employees retirement systems is uncertain.
