Explanation

The amendment alters the reduction of probate districts required under the bill from between 44 and 50 to between 50 and 70. To the extent that fewer consolidations are recommended under the amendment than would have been recommended under the bill, there is a potential reduction in the savings to the Probate Court Administration Fund and a potential reduction in the revenue gain to the General Fund identified in the fiscal note on the bill as amended.
