Explanation

The amendment adds the requirement that the plan submitted by the redistricting commission pursuant to the bill include the provision that no probate court be located more than 20 miles from the town hall of each town within that probate district. It is unclear how the redistricting commission would incorporate this provision in their plan and the extent to which it would affect implementation, and as such the fiscal impact is uncertain.
