AN ACT CONCERNING A POLICY REGARDING DISSECTION IN CLASSROOMS.

SUMMARY:

This bill requires a school district to excuse a student from participating in animal dissections as part of classroom instruction if the student raises a conscientious objection to doing so.

*House Amendment “A” removes a reference to “performing experiments or dissections” and replaces it with “participating in dissections. ”
