AN ACT PROVIDING FOR A CAP ON NONECONOMIC DAMAGES IN MEDICAL MALPRACTICE ACTIONS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 52-572h of the general statutes be amended to limit noneconomic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits to two hundred fifty thousand dollars.

Statement of Purpose:

To impose a cap of two hundred fifty thousand dollars for noneconomic damages in medical malpractice lawsuits.
