AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN MUNICIPALITIES FROM WEB SITE POSTING REQUIREMENTS UNDER THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to exempt municipalities with a population of thirty thousand people or less from the requirement under the Freedom of Information Act to post meeting notices and minutes on town web sites.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide relief to smaller municipalities from certain requirements under the Freedom of Information Act.
