AN ACT CONCERNING A STUDY OF THE TREATMENT PROVIDED TO VETERANS WHO SUFFER TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) (a) The Commissioner of Public Health shall conduct a study of the treatment provided for veterans with service-related traumatic brain injury. The study shall evaluate (1) the nature of the treatment provided to such veterans, (2) the effectiveness of the treatment, (3) the treatment provided to such veterans in other states, and (4) recommendations for improving the treatment.
(b) On or before January 1, 2010, the commissioner shall submit a report of the findings of the study undertaken pursuant to subsection (a) of this section to the joint standing committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to public health and the select committee of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to veterans' affairs, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
