AN ACT CONCERNING EFFICIENCY STANDARDS FOR AUTOMATIC LAWN SPRINKLERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 21a of the general statutes be amended to require the Commissioner of Consumer Protection to adopt regulations establishing minimum efficiency standards for automatic lawn sprinkler systems, including a requirement that each such system be equipped with a moisture sensor device.

Statement of Purpose:

To promote water conservation by requiring automatic lawn sprinklers to be equipped with moisture sensor devices.
