AN ACT CONCERNING THE HUMANE SHELTERING OF DOGS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the owner or keeper of a dog to provide it with shelter from direct sunlight, extreme cold and inclement weather and that such shelter provide the dog enough space to stand up, turn around and lie down and to allow the natural body heat of the dog to be retained.

Statement of Purpose:

To promote the humane treatment of dogs.
