AN ACT PROHIBITING THE USE OF CREDIT RATINGS TO SET AUTOMOBILE LIABILITY INSURANCE POLICY PREMIUMS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapters 700 and 701 of the general statutes be amended to prohibit the use of an applicant's credit rating or credit history as an underwriting criterion for automobile liability insurance policies.
Statement of Purpose:
To prohibit the use of an applicant's credit rating or credit history to set automobile liability insurance policy premiums.
