AN ACT CONCERNING A RIGHT OF PUBLICITY.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to protect an individual's image, likeness, recorded voice and performance from being wrongfully appropriated by creating a statutory right of publicity that incorporates elements of the common law right to privacy.

Statement of Purpose:

To protect the image, likeness, recorded voice and performance of individuals by establishing a statutory right of publicity.
