The amendment delays the effective date of provisions of Public Act 07-4 of the June Special Session, which increase the age of juvenile jurisdiction from 15 to 17 effective January 1, 2010. This change would delay by two years the costs of the Act which, once fully annualized, total approximately $100 million.
