AN ACT CONCERNING TAX BREAKS FOR ENERGY-EFFICIENT HOME HEATING AND COOLING SYSTEMS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to extend any sales tax, property tax or other tax exemptions or credits currently available for energy-efficient home heating or cooling units to commercial units that meet the same energy efficient standards installed in a single-family home.

Statement of Purpose:

To extend tax breaks for energy-efficient home heating and cooling systems to commercial systems that are installed in single-family homes.
