AN ACT CONCERNING A SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR ENERGY STAR APPLIANCES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That chapter 219 of the general statutes be amended to reinstate the sales tax exemption for Energy Star appliances retroactive to October 1, 2007, and continue going forward through June, 30, 2010.

Statement of Purpose:

To assist consumers who missed the revised deadline for the sales tax exemption, and to continue to support energy efficient tax breaks for consumers.
