AN ACT EXEMPTING ENERGY STAR APPLIANCE FROM THE SALES TAX.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-412 of the 2008 supplement to the general statutes be amended to exempt energy star appliances from the sales tax.

Statement of Purpose:

To promote the use of appliances that promote energy efficiency.
