AN ACT CONCERNING A SALES TAX EXEMPTION FOR TALKING PRESCRIPTION DRUG CONTAINERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 12-412 of the general statutes be amended to provide a sales tax exemption for prescription drug containers that give audio recorded prescription information.
Statement of Purpose:
To increase the accessibility of prescription medications to those who are blind or visually impaired by exempting talking prescription drug containers from the sales tax.
