AN ACT CONCERNING A PROHIBITION RELATING TO HOMEMAKER-COMPANION SERVICES.

SUMMARY:

This bill specifies that homemaker-companion agencies can neither offer nor provide homemaker or companion services without a current Department of Consumer Protection certificate of registration. Current law prohibits agencies only from “offering to provide” services without a certificate.

EFFECTIVE DATE: October 1, 2008
