You asked for information on releases from prison to probation by month. You also asked for this information broken down by town and for monthly information for New Haven.
SUMMARY
We obtained the following information from the Office of Fiscal Analysis, which maintains a database of information from the Judicial Branch's Court Support Services Division.
During 2006, 4,248 people were released from prison to a period of probation on a split sentence. From January to March of 2007 (including those scheduled to be released this month), 1,192 people were released from prison to a period of probation. A table below breaks down this information by month.
Of the 5,440 people released from prison to probation from January 2006 through March 2007, Bridgeport had the highest number with 645. Forty-three towns had at least 20 people released from prison to probation and a table below displays this information. Attached are lists with monthly data for this period broken down by town.
During this period, 543 people were released from prison to probation in New Haven. A table below displays this information by month.
