FACULTY AND ENROLLMENT GROWTH AT UCONN, THE CONNECTICUT STATE UNIVERSITIES AND THE COMMUNITY-TECHNICAL COLLEGES

By: Rute Pinhel, Research Analyst

You asked for graphs that show the relationship between full-time faculty and enrollment at UConn, the Connecticut state universities (CSUs), and the community-technical colleges (CTCs).

The following graphs show full-time faculty and full-time equivalent (FTE) enrollment at the institutions from 1995 through 2006. FTE enrollment is a measure of the hypothetical headcount of graduate and undergraduate students at the institution if the total credit load was taken by full-time students. It is standard in comparing enrollment and allocating resources across institutions.

Graph 2: CSU's Full-Time Faculty and FTE Enrollment 1995-2006
