Explanation

The amendment strikes the underlying bill and its associated fiscal impact. The amendment requires DPUC to regulate the Hartford Steam Company. Since DPUC has no underlying experience in regulating steam companies, an Engineer could be required dependent upon the amount of additional workload incurred to the department under this new area of regulation. An Engineer's salary (step 7) is $75, 345, plus fringe benefits.
