AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISCLOSURE OF MOTOR VEHICLE EVENT DATA RECORDERS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require the manufacturer of a new motor vehicle sold or leased in the state and equipped with an event data recorder to disclose for all vehicle model years 2009 and later the presence, capacity and capabilities of such event data recorder. Such disclosure shall be printed in the owner's manual for the vehicle or on an addendum page to the owner's manual.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide consumers with information regarding motor vehicles equipped with event data recorders.
