AN ACT CONCERNING THE SALE OF HANDGUN AMMUNITION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to prohibit the sale of ammunition for a pistol or revolver to any person unless such person holds a valid permit to carry a pistol or revolver issued pursuant to subsection (b) of section 29-28 of the general statutes or a valid eligibility certificate issued pursuant to section 29-36f of the general statutes.
Statement of Purpose:
To reduce illegal handgun use by requiring a person to hold a valid permit to carry a pistol or revolver or eligibility certificate in order to purchase handgun ammunition.
