AN ACT CONCERNING USE OF THE TITLE "DOCTOR" BY CHIROPRACTORS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 20-32 of the general statutes be amended to clarify that any licensed chiropractor who uses the title "Doctor" or any abbreviation or synonym thereof, without a clear designation that the licensee is a practitioner of chiropractic, shall be deemed to have committed an act of fraud or material deception in the course of professional services or activities under section 20-29 of the general statutes and shall be subject to disciplinary action.
Statement of Purpose:
To clarify the prohibition on use of the title "doctor" by chiropractors.
