AN ACT CONCERNING PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFORMATION ABOUT STATE SPENDING.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Information Technology to create a searchable web site, accessible to the public, to provide information about state grants, contracts, projects and loans.

Statement of Purpose:

To allow the public to track state spending and to promote transparency in government.
