AN ACT INCREASING THE MINIMUM FAIR WAGE.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 31-58 of the general statutes be amended to increase the state minimum fair wage to eight dollars and sixty-five cents per hour, effective January 1, 2008, to nine dollars and sixty-five cents per hour, effective January 1, 2009, to ten dollars and sixty-five cents per hour, effective January 1, 2010, and effective January 1, 2011, to eleven dollars and sixty-five cents per hour.
Statement of Purpose:
To help workers better able afford to provide for their families.
