AN ACT EXEMPTING CERTAIN CHARITIES AND NONSTOCK CORPORATIONS FROM STATE FILING FEES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to exempt registered charities and nonstock corporations with gross revenues of less than fifty thousand dollars per year from having to pay filing fees that are currently required when submitting annual reports and other required filings to the state.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the financial burden on small charities and nonprofits.
