AN ACT CONCERNING THE DISCLOSURE OF POLICE REPORTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to require that police reports that are released to the public exclude dates of birth, license numbers and Social Security numbers of any person not convicted of a crime.
Statement of Purpose:
To prevent identity theft by removing certain personal identifying information from a police report before its release.
