AN ACT REQUIRING NOTIFICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH OF POSITIVE LYME DISEASE RESULTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 19a of the general statutes be amended to require that clinical laboratories shall notify the Department of Public Health of all cases of positive Lyme Disease results.

Statement of Purpose:

To mandate that clinical laboratories notify the Department of Public Health of all cases of positive Lyme Disease results.
