AN ACT CONCERNING UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS FOR CERTAIN MILITARY SPOUSES.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That subsection (a) of section 31-236 of the general statutes be amended to permit an individual to receive unemployment benefits when the individual leaves work to accompany a spouse who is on active duty with the armed services of the United States and is required by such service to relocate.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide unemployment compensation benefits to individuals who leave their jobs to accompany a relocated military spouse.
