Special Act No. 07-1

AN ACT VALIDATING THE NOVEMBER 3, 2003, REFERENDUM IN THE TOWN OF MANCHESTER REGARDING CERTAIN PUBLIC WORKS PROJECTS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (Effective from passage) Notwithstanding any provision of the general statutes or any special act, charter or ordinance, the vote cast by the electors and voters of the town of Manchester at the referendum held on November 3, 2003, relating to approval of an appropriation for construction of road and sidewalk improvements, bridge design and repair, traffic signal upgrades, storm drainage and extension of the Charter Oak Greenway and the authorization of the issuance of bonds, notes and temporary notes and the acceptance of grants and other available funds to defray said appropriation, otherwise valid except for the failure to publish the correct dollar value of the appropriation and bond authorization in the notice of the referendum, is validated. All acts, votes and proceedings of the officers and officials of the town of Manchester pertaining to or taken in reliance on said referendum, otherwise valid except for the failure to publish the correct dollar value of the appropriation and bond authorization in the notice of the referendum, are validated and effective as of the date taken.
