This bill:

1. authorizes special tuition raffles, subject to Division of Special Revenue (DSR) regulation, with full or partial tuition payments as prizes;

2. requires bingo products and sealed ticket manufacturers and dealers who sell or rent their products or equipment to DSR permittees to register annually with DSR;

3. sets the license fees at $ 1,500 for bingo registration applicants and $ 500 for sealed ticket registration applicants,

4. prohibits permittees from renting or purchasing bingo products or sealed ticket machines from unregistered persons;

5. allows three classes of raffle permittees to award cash prizes, which, under existing statutory scheme, would be capped at $ 15,000; and

6. allows the sale of sheet tickets in teacup raffles.

sHB 5545—AN ACT CONCERNING SIMULATING FACILITIES
