"AN ACT REINSTATING THE SUMMER YOUTH EMPLOYMENT APPROPRIATION. "

Strike lines 1 to 10, inclusive, in their entirety and substitute the following in lieu thereof:

"Section 1. (Effective July 1, 2006) (a) For the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, the Office of Workforce Competitiveness shall distribute the following amounts to the five regional workforce investment boards: One million three hundred thousand dollars to Capital Workforce Partners; nine hundred thousand dollars to the Workforce Alliance; five hundred fifty thousand dollars to The Workplace, Inc. ; nine hundred thousand dollars to the Northwest Regional Workforce Investment Board, Inc. ; and four hundred thousand dollars to the Eastern CT Workforce Investment Board. "

In line 15, after "region" insert "for Summer Youth Employment programs"

In line 20, after "in" insert "reduced or fully"

After the last section, add the following and renumber sections and internal references accordingly:

"Sec. 501. (Effective July 1, 2006) The sum of four million dollars is appropriated to the Office of Workforce Competitiveness, from the General Fund, for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2007, for the five regional workforce investment boards. "
